WHAT ARE CDP BACKUPS?
R1Soft CDP backups is a server software application that enables disk-based data protection and disaster recovery for Linux servers and workstations running the Microsoft Windows operating system. The CDP Server protects disk volume data using secure encrypted synchronization over the network storing point-in-time snapshots in disk-based storage. You can then recover any restore point allowing you to instantly rollback any file required. Even if you have a complete hard drive failure you can even restore the entre operation system complete with all user data with ease.
CDP SERVER CONTROL PANEL
The R1Soft CDP Server Backup Software can be completely controlled using a simple web-based interface. From this interface you can manage every aspect of your CDP backup service. If you are a web hosting provider you can also give your customers direct access to allow them to restore files. Please see the screenshots below.
cPANEL, PLESK, ENSIM, DIRECTADMIN INTEGRATION
The Control Panel Add-On is a special feature added for web hosting providers. The Control Panel Module provides integration with a number of control panels such as cPanel, Plesk, Ensim and DirectAdmin. Control panel users can access their Backups and Restore files by themselves. Control panel users only have access to Backups of their work space while the web host administrator can access all Backups.
HOW DO CDP BACKUPS WORK?
Continuous data protection works by reading your hard disk volumes at the sector level, bypassing the file system for the ultimate in performance and recovery. This disk sector synchronization is performed while the server is online and provides no interruption to other I/O requests even on a busy server. By reading the disk at the lowest possible level point-in-time recovery images contain your files and all the formatting, partition tables, and volume configuration needed for complete and instant disaster recovery. The data is then encrypted and transferred securely to our redundant RAID-10 storage servers.
