CentOS 6 Released
June 10th, 2011

Hello,

CentOS-6.0 is now released { http://t.co/zAlkelc }; Enjoy!

We are pleased to announce the immediate availability of CentOS-6.0 for
i386 and x86_64 Architectures.

CentOS-6.0 is based on the upstream release EL 6.0 and includes packages
from all variants. All upstream repositories have been combined into
one, to make it easier for end users to work with.

There are some important changes to this release compared with the
previous versions of CentOS and we highly recommend reading this
announcement along with the Release Notes at

CentOS 6 officialy released a few minutes ago.

We will start providing templates and ISOs on our VPS platform for CentOS 6 in the next few days.

Dear Customers,

We have just received notification from our upstream in Manchester (secondary POP) that they will be performing additional emergency network maintenance tonight. The plan is to further harden their network against a recent influx of router targeted DDoS attacks which has already caused us disruption on numerous occasions over the past few weeks.

Date: 23/02/11 (Today)
Start: 22:00 GMT
Finish: 01:00 GMT

There is not expected to be any service affecting disruption but it would be wise to consider the network as ‘at risk’ as in any instance where maintenance to a live network is occurring.
