On Wednesday 8th October work will be carried out to commission an additional pair of UPS units at the datacentre.

This will involve brief periods of ‘at risk’ while the units are commissioned into the existing system and the system fully synchronized. During these periods UPS protection will not be available, and the critical load will be switched onto raw mains for periods up to 15 minutes at a time.

Contact with Southern Electric will be maintained throughout the operation and work will not commence until the all clear is given by SSE.
